Friday 11th December, Acacia Hall, Dartford. Another night to remember. The evening got off to a slow start, with Mags having a nail varnish nightmare. I know just whats she means, Kevina had the same trouble in Wales this year. So we were running a little late, but everyone had made it there, all apart from John, who was still waiting for information on times etc. But got to give it to John, he still managed to get changed and arrive in time for his meal.. So into the Ballroom and lucky table 7, for the Seeds group. Lillian had made up some brilliant party bags for all of us, with wigs, hats, glasses, party poppers, bubbles, sweets, nice one Lilly. Bill organised a whip round, and the booze was soon flowing. A couple of bottles of Bubbly and we were on our way... The meal, Melon starters, Roast Turkey and veg, chocolate mouse and coffee to finish. Tom Jones tribute was the caberet for the evening, and he wasn't too bad as it goes, singing all the favourites, Delilah, Sex bomb etc... there was even a pair of Knickers thrown on the stage and yes it was one of our girls. By the end of the set everyone was on their feet singing along, then straight into the Disco. Most of us well oiled by now. Mags was the 1st to hit the dance floor, wearing here little Pink number, with 5 inch heels in pink of coarse. Kev and Karen followed and then we were all up on the dancefloor. Mags and Lillian were relentless, hardly ever taking a break. In fact the rest of us mere mortals had to take shifts to keep up with these party animals. I think revenge for all the hard bike rides, had been dealt out. Hands up Lads, the Girls beat us up tonight. Pete, was cutting some shapes, a real mover on the floor. Mick and Lee were also looking good. Lee chalenged Mags to take on a Night Club afterwards, Mags was up for it but Lee unfortunately couldn't make it, maybe in France !!. A shock for me as an old girl friend, grabbed me on the dancefloor. I had to play along for a while saying I didn't even know her. I should be so lucky. Slowly after midnight the group started to shrink, leaving 6 of us to stick it out until 1 am. A great night out, shame their were not more Club members to join in the fun.
