Latest news.

Club Kit is on its way. The new Gilets and arm warmer designs have been approved, and we will soon be
asking for confirmed orders.
Full payment will be needed
prior to the kit being put into production.
This is to stop ordered kit just sitting in a box
and tieing up the club funds.

To continue our promotion of bringing new people
into cycling, we launced our 1st Sky Social ride on Saturday.
Helped by Andy Dumbleton as assistant leader, we took out a small group of cyclists including 2 new ladies, Folley and Katie.
A 15 mile succesful ride with 2 new potential converts.

To follow on from this,
I have applied for a Dartford Community Grant.
This will pay for the training of 2 new coaches, up to
British Cycling Level 1, which Andy Dumbleton has applied to take.
We will also be able to offer free training for adults, at
the new Cyclopark in a safe traffic free enviroment.
Supply basic safety equipement helmets etc, and most important
have our own road bikes to lend out to people when training.
This way, there will be no reason why, people can't come
along and give cycling a go.

Lots been going on over the past couple of weeks.
I am glad to report that Mags has retracted her resignation.
It has been a very difficult time, for all those concerned, and the rest of the Club.
As a result, and talking to Club members,
we have introduced new amendments to
Club Rules.
Xmas meal. One spare ticket has now come up for the Xmas meal.
Turbo and Pilates. The 1st of December will be our final Thursday this year.
Due to Christmas bookings, the Hall is full after that date.
I have accepted to run a pilot scheme for British Cycling.
They are trying to set up Social Cycling Groups. These rides will follow on
from the popular Sky Rides, and will allow new riders a way into Club Cycling
They will advertise our pre planned rides and send a maximum of
8 people to join in the rides. The distances will be up to a maximum of 25 miles
and the easier distances aprox 10 miles.
Held on a Saturday morning, these will not affect our normal Club rides, but be an additional  slower paced ride. Hopefully the group will become self running under the Seeds umbrella.
May be will can get back some of our lost riders, who thought the pace was just too fast

The AGM Report
The Important stuff.
New Pace Leaders scheme.
To keep our rides controlled and predictable.
The Pacers will set the pace for the group, from ride steady up to ride hard.
The pacers roll. Controlling from the front, no other riders will be allowed to drive up the pace by going off the front, ( if you do, the pacer is likely to turn off route, you have been warned)
It will be acceptable to share the lead by rotating around the pace leader, and on climbs,
climb at your own pace but re group at the top. On the return leg the pacer will decide
when suitable to kick for home, 1st one home as normal.
We want to open the longer Sunday rides to a wider group of riders,
they shouldn't always have to be a ride hard,
there is no reason why we cant have 2 pacers out for the same distance ride.
Pacers are, Steve Neale, Andy D, Lee, Garry, Graham, Alex, Mags.
You are more than welcome to join the team and help out with the pace.

New Membership Secretary, Steve Clarke

New Kit reps, Andy D and Steve C
will be taking orders for kit from now on.

Payments for social events and Tours
