New Forest, Autumn Tour. 10th to 13th September 2010
Who is going. Graham Hiscock, Peter Corbett, Bill Alder, Lee Morley, Gary Layton, Andy Dumbleton Mick Martin, Del Hall, John Manning, Magaret Cowell, Lillian Martin, Kathryn Lugton.
We have booked 2 superior lodges, at a cost per person of £100. Check in, on Friday the 10th is from 3pm. Check out is on Monday 13th by 10 am. Lodges are self catering.
We will be taking our own cars down to the New Forest, drive time aprox 2 hours. We are only allowed 1 vehicle to be parked outside each of the lodges, additional cars will have to be parked in car park. If we can we will try to fit into 4 cars, 3 people per car including bikes.
Sandy Balls Holiday Village. A very popular Holiday Village, in The New Forest. An excellent base, for riding around the forest. The Site, has a swimming pool, jaccuzi, sauna, gym. A well stocked shop, Restaurant, Pub and take away food. check it out here www.sandyballs.co.uk
The Rides
The New Forest is fairly flat, the roads very quiet. This year we not busting a gut, concentrating on enjoyable riding, with plenty of stops along the way. Our 1st ride on Friday afternoon, a trip to a local pub for bite to eat, and a couple of beers.
Saturday Ride. All in the New Forest. Some great cycling, on these open winding roads. Heading for Burley and a great Cafe stop, top notch grub. From here to Brockenhurst, then Lyndhurst, before going back along Bolderwood Ornimental Drive. Then looping back to Sandy Balls, an easy days ride of 55 miles, Giving us plenty of time to use the the site facilities at Sandy Balls.

Sunday Ride.
Heading out via Fordingbridge and Aldersholt, before turning south to Verwood, Ringwood, Hurn, and then onto the coastal town of Christchurch, before hugging the coast down to Bournemouth, for a lunch stop. Return back to Fordingbridge, and back to Sandy Balls for afternoon tea. Distance 53 miles

Did you miss the notice of the Tour? Unfortunately, the final 2 lodges have been booked, if you would like to come along still, please let me know, if we can get enough people together, min 4 I can enquire, on vacancies, possibly caravans only. Alternatively, come down on the day for a ride.
